Standing-room only at the STEP-UAW Road Ahead Panel
Over 300+ Science, Technology and Engineering Professionals (STEPs) showed up to the Road Ahead Panel Discussion last Thursday. With packed conference and Zoom rooms, and lots of engaging questions, STEPs showed we are ready to come together and work towards building a better LBNL! During the event, we learned from panelists, who are members of other UAW unions across both UC and right here at LBNL, how continuous conversation and engagement led them to win precedent-setting contracts for university employees. In order for us to win recognition for our union and a strong first contract, STEPs across every division of the lab are doing something similar: joining the Collective Action Team (CAT).
